Named after Miss Sybil Starr, a licensee of the Home Cottage for 39 years from 1939, the Starr room is a versatile, vibrant space ideal for drinks and nibbles parties. You’ll also have direct access to our fabulous pub garden.

FAQs
We may require a deposit to confirm your booking with us. This amount can either be redeemed against your bill, or refunded onto the original payment card after your event.
We don’t charge hire fees, however, we do require a substantial food order for exclusive hire of our Starr and/or Stevens Room on Fridays, Saturdays and peak days.
We are a 1-minute walk from Redhill train station, and 3-minute walk from Redhill bus station.
We have one accessible parking space on-site. There is plenty of street parking, but please keep an eye on the restrictions. There is also a pay and display car park across the road by the train station.
We have step-free access to our restaurant and private hire rooms, and a platform lift down to the bar area and accessible toilet.
Of course, you’re welcome to bring balloons, banners, photo strings, etc. Please note, we do not allow confetti or confetti balloons.
Feel free to bring a celebration cake, but please note, we do not allow any other outside catering for food or drink.
You’re welcome to play your own music in our Starr or Stevens Room, where we have AUX ports with adapters (lightning and USB-C) which plug into our speakers.
